Goals with Idealist's new Project
- How can we do more with everything that we have?
  - Not just technology, but ideas, good will, and all of this stuff.
There are many of us out there, and we want to do more about many things.
- When one person says "better schools" and another person says "better schools," they mean two entirely different things.
- How can many different actors do so many different things without getting in each other's way?
Need some kind of shared goal
Questions to ask ourselves
- What do you want to do?
- Why haven't you done it?
- What would help you do it?
Universal points of pain
- A big gap between intentions and actions.
- Our problems are all connected, but people aren't.
- The world is full of amazing ideas that don't spread quickly enough.
Go from creating a site...to creating a network.
- Make it easier for people and organizations to move from intentions to action.
- Connect people
- Find great ideas and move them to where they can best be used.
How to start
- Starting in New York with the pilot project to show this can work. Will go global from there. IdealistNYC.org
